Human Resources Specialist (Parkersburg, WV)

The Human Resources Specialist works closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer with recruiting, employee retention, benefits, employee relations, performance evaluations, compensation, reporting, compliance and other human resources processes and requirements.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct Recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees. Conducts new employee orientations. Monitors career-pathing program. Writes and places advertisements.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefit information to employees.
Handles exit interviewing.
Monitor the performance evaluations and KPI programs.
Compiles reports from the HRMS database.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. . Develops and maintains affirmative action program, files EEO-1 reports annually, and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
Competencies and Other Duties
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel, assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, and prepares and maintains the employee handbook. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and processes. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Assists in the management of the compensation program. Coordinates the employee survey process. Maintains company organizational charts. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, MBA preferred. Human Resources certification preferred
A minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
