Summary/Objective

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator manages the employment process from candidate sourcing through on-boarding. This role is responsible for meeting regularly with hiring managers and developing strategies to meet current and anticipated future staffing needs. Participates with other HR team members in HR generalist activities.

Essential Functions

  1. In collaboration with operational managers and HR staff, develops comprehensive recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.
  2. At the beginning of each year develops recruitment schedule for current and future budgeted recruitment needs.
  3. Meets with managers to develop specific recruiting plans.
  4. Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
  5. Coordinates internship programs.
  6. Directs the efforts of employment agencies and search firms, including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees.
  7. Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
  8. Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
  9. Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.
  10. Assures that reference and background checks are complete before date of hire.
  11. Develops and conducts training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
  12. Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.
  13. Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.
  14. Participates in the development of the talent acquisition budget.
  15. In collaboration with HR team participates in HR generalist activities including employee relations, benefit communication and system improvements.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

This position requires up to 25% travel.

Education and Experience

  1. At least 5 years of HR experience or 3 years specific recruiting experience required
  2. 4-yr college degree in business or related field is preferred.
  3. SHRM Certified Professional or PHR credential preferred
