CASE STUDY: Adding value by consolidating
The Process After conducting several site visits and analyzing shipping data, REO proposed a consolidation program for our client that helped offset transportation costs due to rising fuel costs and at the same time allowed shipping department floor space to be better utilized and increased manufacturing space for a new product line. REO established an offsite warehouse that receives all finished goods and then consolidates traditional LTL shipments into full truckloads providing a twofold benefit to our client.
The Proof We saved our client over 2.1 million dollars by combining 4985 LTL shipments to create 1133 Truckloads
